Our Process: Telling the Story of the Largest Climate Change Response in Canadian History
The Problem
The BC Government had spent billions on the response to the 2021 flood event with little investment in media. To communicate the scope and scale of the project to local
First Nations, partners, and the public, the Ministry of Environment needed authentic video storytelling.
Case Study:
Olam Films was hired to create a video campaign documenting the immense government response to the 2021 atmospheric river flood event in British Columbia. These videos were distributed online through official government channels.
The Solution
Olam Films created a long-form documentary-style video along with a social media package for the BC Government to release to the world. The videos featured local First Nations community leaders alongside Minister George Heyman and other members of the BC Government.

The Results
The videos produced in this campaign reached hundreds of thousands of viewers through organic traffic, and helped the Ministry of Environment communicate what had been accomplished with this massive project.
